This page displays a very useful map with filtering tools that will help you to explore the vast portfolio of Barber designed homes and buildings. As you will see, the mapped locations can be filtered to show you content you are interested in. Be patient as you set and remove filters because each time you do that, the map will refresh on the screen to show you the changed data set. The time it takes to perform these actions will depend on the device you are using to view this page, and the speed of your current connection to the internet.

Each marker (pin) on the map indicates the type of building located there. For example, the green pins designate extant homes, the red pins designated non-extant homes, the yellow pins designate homes that were mentioned by Barber but current research has been unable to locate or document, and the blue pins designate non-residential buildings (red surrounding the blue means non-extant, while green surrounding the blue means the building is still extant). If you hover your mouse pointer over any marker (pin), a popup will display the name and location for you, until you move the mouse pointer away from the marker. Each marker pin is also clickable, so when you click on a pin of interest you will be taken to the individual page that documents that home or building. If the marker you click on represents a home/building that is still extant, then at the bottom of those individual home/building "documentation" pages, there is another map image that locates the building in it's local area. This "local" marker pin is again clickable. When you do click on one of these pins, you will get turn-by-turn directions beginning from your current location, and ending at the location of the maker pin that you clicked on. These navigation directions are best accessed from your mobile device, so when you sync that mobile device to your car, you can see the directions on the car's display.

One important note about "The Map" page below. You will notice that this page currently only locates a small subset of the 3,300+ homes/buildings we have documented to date. So, in the coming months, thousands of additional homes and buildings will be added here.
